Why is human translation better than translation with software?

Translation with the help of free language software is still a long way off perfection. Even though some language tools (especially payware) may be very efficient for someone who already has the basic understanding of the language and can speak decently, they cannot be a reliable substitution for a human translator when correspondents do not speak one and the same language.
